The product

A fabric pre-filled with concrete. Unroll, anchor, hydrate.

PENNCRETE® is a three-layer geosynthetic: a durable upper fabric, a middle layer of specially formulated dry concrete mix bound by 3D fibers, and a waterproof bottom membrane. Cut it with a utility knife. Anchor with pegs. Spray with water. In 24 hours you have a hard, durable concrete surface that follows the shape of the ground beneath it.

01
Upper fabric
Durable outer face · UV and abrasion resistant.
02
Concrete core
Dry mix held by 3D fibers · 6 to 20 mm thickness range.
03
Bottom membrane
Waterproof PE backing · prevents leaching.

Slope protection
Stabilize embankments against rain wash.
Reservoir lining
Conforming lining for ponds and basins.
Erosion control
Protection for exposed soil and cut slopes.
Shoreline protection
Bank reinforcement and wave resistance.
Installation

Five steps. Two workers. No specialists.

A complete installation guide — site preparation, the equipment you need, and the sequence on site.

Equipment you need
Utility knife
For cutting blanket to shape.
Anchor pegs
Steel pins or trench anchors for edges.
Water source
Hose, spray bar, or low-pressure pump.
Hammer / mallet
For driving anchor pegs.
Measuring tape
Layout and overlap control.
Gloves & PPE
Standard jobsite safety gear.
Prepare the ground
01
Prepare the ground
Grade and compact the subgrade per project spec. Remove sharp stones and debris. A level, smooth surface improves contact and final appearance.
Roll out the blanket
02
Roll out the blanket
Unroll directly onto the prepared surface. Cut to length with a utility knife. For large areas, start from the top and work down to let gravity keep panels taut.
Overlap & anchor
03
Overlap & anchor
Overlap adjacent panels by ~100 mm (10 cm). Drive anchor pegs through the overlap every 50 cm. On slopes, use trench anchors at the top and toe.
Hydrate with water
04
Hydrate with water
Spray thoroughly with fresh water until fully saturated. Use a low-pressure spray — avoid washing out the mix. Typical use: 8–12 L of water per m².
Cure & inspect
05
Cure & inspect
Allow ~24 hours to reach initial hardness at 20°C. Keep the surface damp during the first 6 hours in hot weather. Inspect seams before loading.
Field notes
  • Install above 5°C. Protect from rain during the first 4 hours of hydration.
  • On slopes steeper than 1:2, add intermediate anchor rows every 2 m vertical.
  • For reservoir linings, run a bead of sealant at all overlaps and edges.
  • Store rolls dry, off the ground, on original pallets. Shelf life: 12 months sealed.
